The Moon Mani

I am getting way too into nail art.  My latest inspiration was the manicure at Vena Cava's spring 2011 show, as well as Ruffian's "moon manicure" from the past two seasons, which has become their trademark.

For my manicure, I used a deep purple polish for the base and a metallic gold nail art pen to create the moon shape.  The nail pen was much easier to use than a traditional nail polish brush; I highly recommend it for this technique.
